The PocketQ-TNG-Z is an industrial grade, mobile terminal that provides superior 1D/2D barcode scanning. The device also validates RFID and NFC credentials while supporting integration of a Bluetooth printer for the printing of receipts and coupons.
Providing excellent wireless connectivity and an extremely long battery life, the PocketQ-TNG-Z provides a full day of operation on a single charge. The compact, easy to navigate form factor is also extremely durable. The device has a 5’ drop to concrete rating and is water proof and highly dust resistant.
Running on the familiar Android OS, the PocketQ-TNG-Z comes preinstalled with our widely used Valid8 mobile validation application, which works with third-party systems using Alvarado’s DirectConnect API or with Alvarado’s in-house GateLink10 access control software. Among its many features, Valid8 includes an option to dynamically locate the venue and gate, eliminating the need for dedicating devices to a particular facility or gate.

For companies that have their own access control solution, the Valid8 application can communicate directly with your access control software using our DirectConnect API. Our full-featured Valid8 application also integrates seamlessly with our GateLink10 access control software.
The PocketQ-TNG-Z can also be ordered without Alvarado software for those that wish to run their own Android based validation application. An SDK is available for development support.

There are two ways to integrate with Alvarado’s intelligent admission devices:
Using GateLink10 – Alvarado’s GateLink10 is integrated with dozens of ticketing providers. Our proven admission platform is used at hundreds of facilities worldwide. GateLink10 users benefit from ongoing product enhancements driven by our large installation base.
DirectConnect API – Our DirectConnect API allows Alvarado’s intelligent admission devices to communicate directly with third-party systems. The API provides clear, easily implemented web service protocols that support real-time validation of all types of media and enable printing of seat locator slips, receipts or coupons during the entry process.

Other Intelligent Admission Devices and Entry Gates
In addition to our PocketQ-TNG-Z, we offer a wide assortment of additional gate admission devices. While the PocketQ-TNG-Z is an excellent solution for disabled or stroller entry, Alvarado also offers other disabled and stroller entry solutions.
Other Software Applications
The PocketQ-TNG-Z operates in conjunction with our GateLink10 admission software or our DirectConnect API. For venues interested in patron counting, GateWatch patron counting software provides real time and in venue counts and a historic database of entry and exit activity.
