These turnstiles are built to last, using fully welded assemblies and precision mechanical components — but with a more architectural touch. Crystal-clear side panels in aluminum frames reduce visual weight and improve sightlines, making the CLST a better fit for entry points where appearance matters.

Whether installed in a vestibule, beneath an exterior canopy, or at the entrance to a breakroom or locker area, CLST turnstiles provide controlled, bi-directional pedestrian access using a wide array of integrated options. Each model is available in standard, motorized, or touchless configurations, as well as a space-saving tandem design.

Designed for Safe, Controlled Use in Transitional Spaces

CLST turnstiles are engineered to provide safe, intuitive operation in semi-enclosed and indoor environments. Mechanical models use a built-in speed control system that automatically adjusts to the user’s pushing force, ensuring smooth, controlled arm rotation — even when pushed aggressively. This reduces the chance of injury from fast-spinning arms or rebound. Each passage concludes with automatic centering and locking to prepare for the next user, while an internal cam mechanism prevents entrapment within the rotating section.

Mechanical Models (CLST, CLSTT)

These models feature a built-in speed control mechanism that automatically adjusts to the user’s pushing force. Even during aggressive use, rotation remains steady and controlled, minimizing the risk of injury from fast-spinning arms or rebound. The rotating section returns smoothly to its home position after each use and locks in place for the next user. An anti-entrapment cam mechanism makes it mechanically impossible to be locked inside the turnstile.

Motorized Models (CLST-TE, CLST-M)

Motorized CLST models provide smooth, powered rotation — with or without user contact. In the touchless CLST-TE, an overhead sensor initiates rotation after credential verification. The intelligent drive system monitors for unexpected resistance and stops rotation if it detects an obstruction, further enhancing user protection.

Emergency Readiness and Fail Modes

All CLST models support configurable fail-lock and fail-safe operation. The most common configuration prevents entry (fail-lock) while allowing exit (fail-safe) during a power loss. Local override controls and dedicated fire system inputs enable fast egress during emergencies. Field adjustment between fail modes is straightforward and requires no special tools.
