Introducing Alvarado’s Tap-and-GO Technology

Leveraging Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap protocols, as guests approach an Alvarado NFC enabled intelligent admission device, a notification is sent to their phone. The guest either taps on the notification to ready the ticket or allows Alvarado’s device to select the ticket automatically. The process is fast, easy and eliminates searching the phone to find the correct ticket and/or requiring the scanning of a barcode.

Alvarado’s Tap-and-GO Technology “Sports and entertainment venues face very difficult challenges when it comes to access control operations”, said Alvarado’s vice-president of sales, Brian McNeill. “We focus our design efforts on providing state-of-the-art technologies that both expedite the entry process and provide a very positive experience for guests and staff alike. Alvarado’s Tap-and-GO entry is featured at Brisbane’s 52,000 seat Suncorp Stadium, the first stadium in Australia to offer the technology for all guests at all entry locations. In addition, major stadiums and arenas throughout the U.S. and the world are rolling out Alvarado’s TAP-and GO entry technology.
