Sahara Sam’s Oasis Installs Alvarado Turnstiles, Gates and Admission Access Software to Eliminate Non-Paying Patrons and Control Entry Access to the Water Park
CHINO, CA – Alvarado, a leading U.S. manufacturer of turnstiles and entry control solutions has been selected by Sahara Sam’s Oasis; an indoor and outdoor waterpark in West Berlin, New Jersey, to help reduce unauthorized patron entry and streamline access control. Unauthorized entries, shoddy equipment, and unreliable patron counting were an ongoing liability issue for Sahara Sam’s until installing Alvarado’s admission control equipment and software.

Prior to installing Alvarado products, Sahara Sam’s entry control equipment was comprised of waist high turnstiles and gates from various manufacturers. Using different third party vendors proved to be futile over time as the park experienced a tremendous amount of performance and integration issues with the equipment. In addition, Sahara Sam’s experienced issues with non-paying customers jumping over the waist high access control equipment, entering the water park without paying.

GateConnect is best thought of as “middleware,” connecting Alvarado’s intelligent admission devices with Sahara Sam’s selected ticketing system to read barcode transmissions. GateWatch is real-time venue counting software, allowing Sahara Sam’s to monitor the number of patrons in the park at all times. GateWatch integrates with the installed full height turnstiles.
