Alvarado actively recycles most of the materials used during manufacturing. Both cold rolled steel and stainless steel are separately collected and picked up once a month to be recycled, as are batteries and electrical waste. We regularly reuse the pallets, boxes, and crates for materials we receive from outside vendors and recycle those which are no longer in usable condition.

New Energy Efficient Roof
Last year Alvarado installed a new roof on our 70,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Chino, CA. The new white Sure-Weld TPO membrane roof reflects solar heat to keep the building cooler on hot summer days. It also has improved insulation capabilities, which helps keep the building warmer during the winter months.
Recycling Practices

We regularly reuse the pallets, boxes, and crates for materials we receive from outside vendors and recycle those which are no longer in usable condition. We also encourage our employees to recycle their paper and plastic in the blue recycling bins located in every office.
