Construction themed amusement park, Diggerland USA, opened its inaugural year with a fully integrated intelligent gate admissions control solution from Alvarado. Using the Alvarado MSTT tandem full height electric turnstiles outfitted with TAS12 scanning devices and GateLink, Diggerland is able to prevent unauthorized entries and monitor attendance in real time.

BERLIN, N.J.– Construction themed amusement park, Diggerland USA, opened its inaugural year with a fully integrated intelligent gate admissions control solution from Alvarado. Using the Alvarado MSTT tandem full height electric turnstiles outfitted with TAS12 scanning devices and GateLink, Diggerland is able to prevent unauthorized entries and monitor attendance in real time.
Diggerland USA selected Alvarado to help take a proactive stance towards unauthorized patron entry and streamline access control.
“Alvarado provided a superior access control system that integrated well with our POS provider, enhancing the ability to reduce staffing and limit gate access to paying customers. In addition their ADA accessible entry point with magnetic locking device created an easy out of the box solution to cater to anyone needing assistance where a turnstile is not practical. The ability to select a magnitude of colors for our theme allowed for a well aligned product that we have been very happy with,” says Ilya Girlya, President and CEO of Sahara Sam’s Oasis and Diggerland USA theme parks.
Working in concert with Diggerland’s ticketing system, Alvarado’s GateConnect and fully integrated intelligent scanning turnstiles read and validate barcoded wrist bands for entry purposes. In addition, to allow for material deliveries and access for disabled patrons into the theme park, the park has installed Alvarado’s MSG electric locking pedestrian gates offering a 48” passage width.
For real-time counting, Diggerland relies on GateWatch to monitor turnstile passage outputs and keep an accurate sum of park attendees at all times. This information is key for maintaining the safety of its guests and for auditing.
