Computerized Patron Counting System

Alvarado's GateWatch is a scalable, Windows-based software program that provides real time computerized patron counts for entertainment venues and other facilities. It is compatible with Alvarado counting devices, such as our EDC turnstiles and Supervisor 500 barrier-free optical counting turnstiles.

As patrons pass through turnstiles, a "count" signal in the form of a dry contact output is communicated to a controller. The controller communicates the count to the GateWatch server over an Ethernet network. The GateWatch server provides a real time on screen count and stores count information for graphing, or reporting purposes.GateWatch tracks entry and exit counts, and provides an in venue total. GateWatch is a truly scalable application that works well in both small and large venues. It provides overall facility counts, gate level counts and counts down to the individual device countsl. If exit counting is utilized, GateWatch's flexible setup allows tracking of in venue totals to individual rooms or exhibits.

GateWatch is used in many large stadiums, at dozens of casinos and at major zoos and theme parks around the U.S. It has even been used to track capacity in clean rooms and other secured areas. GateWatch stores counts in increments as small as one minute and comes with powerful standard reporting and graphing capabilities. It includes an application that allows users to export data, as often as every minute, to any networked location. Major organizations such as the Philadelphia Phillies use this feature to deliver real-time entry reports to the mobile phones of its operations and network executives.
