Notable installations include Melbourne Cricket Ground — the thirteenth largest stadium in the world, Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval, which is known for its architecture and contemporary design. In total, there are approximately 30 venues in Australia now using a Ticketek-Alvarado solution.
Alvarado and Ticketek recently worked together to install new gate admission control solutions for ANZ Stadium and Central Coast Stadium. ANZ Stadium hosted the 2000 Summer Olympics and is the second largest stadium in Australia. It is also the largest Olympic stadium ever built and plays host mainly to soccer and rugby events.
Like other venues in Australia, ANZ Stadium and Central Coast Stadium feature Alvarado’s GateLink10 access control platform seamlessly integrated with Ticketek ticketing system to provide reliable validation of tickets, season passes and other credentials. With GateLink10 and admission control hardware, both venues now have the freedom to validate a variety of ticket media types while supporting the latest ticketing trends such as web-based transfers and print-at-home.
Media validation options include print, mobile phone, wristbands and plastic cards. Technologies supported include 1D/2D barcodes, magnetic stripe, RFID, NFC and more. With GateLink10, the admission control solution prevents fraud by providing fast, reliable and secure validation of entering guests. The stadiums have also installed Alvarado admission pedestals, waist high admission turnstiles and handheld mobile validation terminals for self-scanning and physical entry control.
